Monier Seed is a soybean and small grain seed production and processing business that also handles Monier Brand soybean products and small grains. We are a family owned and operated, and fiercely independent seed business. There are less than 100 Independent Seed Companies remaining in the United States, and we are proud to be one of them. We are strategically located in Northern Illinois, South of Interstate 80 by 20 miles and North of Peoria 30 miles in the heart of Midwest soybean production.

Monier Seed uses optical sorting, screen cleaning, and gravity table when needed to provide our farmers and seed customers the highest quality seed and grain products. We ensure gentle seed handling with conveyors, elevators, and low-slope seed runs to maintain integrity and quality in our products. We treat our facility with meticulous care in cleanout and segregation. We know you want high-quality products and to work with someone that’s easy to do business with – that’s our team’s primary goal at Monier Seed.

Celebrating Independence

For 250 years our country has enjoyed freedom and Independence from a regime that was suffocating the rights and freedoms we enjoy today. In many ways, our current agricultural production system is suffering from consolidation of power and limiting the choices and freedoms of our great country’s farmers.

Over nearly 100 years Monier Seed has stood fast in offering high quality, Independent products for our farmer customers. We will continue this and double down in 2026. It is our belief that you deserve freedom in choice, the right to work with independent seed companies, and the ability to maintain profitability with high quality products on your farm’s acres.

In 1976 there were roughly 1000 independent seed companies. In 2006 that number shrunk to around 250. Today, there are only about 100 independent seed companies in ALL of America. We are here to tell you that we are here to stay, and we want to work with your farm moving forward.

In 2026 we have an offering of products that we have tested, grown, and proven in your maturity range. We grow the highest quality seed, process and condition it in our facilities, and package and treat it for optimum performance in your fields. It’s that simple. No market manipulation, no gimmick incentives or hard to understand programs, and nothing but the best interest of you – the farmer – at the top of our minds.
